Adam Riess (born December 16, 1969) is an American astronomer and professor. Born in Washington, D.C., Riess holds citizenship in the United States. He has been educated at several prestigious institutions, including Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University of California, Berkeley, and Watchung Hills Regional High School.
