Aaron Klug (born August 11, 1926 in Želva, Lithuania; died November 20, 2018 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire) was a biochemist and chemist who held United Kingdom citizenship. Klug was educated at several institutions, including the University of the Witwatersrand, University of Cape Town, University of Cambridge, Peterhouse at Cambridge, and Trinity College at Cambridge.
His doctoral advisor was Douglas Hartree, and one of his doctoral students was Daniela Rhodes. Aaron Klug received the 1982 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his significant contributions in the field.
