xTechsearch is a competition targeting small businesses to uncover dual-use science and technology solutions. Sponsored by the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, the competition aims to solve the Army's challenges for modernization. The competition is an open topic call executed twice per calendar year and accepts white paper submissions in the Spring and Fall.
Ten small business finalists receive awards of $120,000 and are invited to demonstrate a proof-of-concept and a grand prize winner is selected and awarded an additional $250,000 prize. The program also provides education, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help the participating businesses integrate in the Army science and technology ecosystem.
As part of the xTechsearch program, winners and finalists are invited to be part of the xTech Accelerator program which offers educational programming, diverse mentorship, venture building consulting, strategic exposure, and community building.
