he age of 15, Uli becomes the captain of the junior German national team. In 1970, he, along with Paul Breitner and Rainer Zobel, moved to Bayern Munich, however, until 1972, he played only for the amateur team of Bayern Munich in order to be able to participate in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. Since 1972, Hoeness has been a player in the main squad of Bayern and at the same time a player of the German national team. As a member of Bayern, he became a three-time national champion (1972, 1973, 1974), winner of the German Cup (1971), three-time winner of the European Champions Cup (1974, 1975, 1976) and winner of the Intercontinental Cup (1976). In 1978Hoeness moved to Nuremberg, but at the end of the season, due to chronicain in his knee, injured in the 1975 Champions Cup final against Leeds United, he ended his career as a player at the age of 27. For Bayern, Hoeness played 336 games and scored 111 goals, for Nuremberg he played 11 games.
