Eko Atlantic is a new coastal city being built on Victoria Island adjacent to Lagos, Nigeria, to solve the chronic shortage of real estate in the world’s fastest-growing megacity. It is a focal point for investors capitalising on rich development growth based on massive demand – and a gateway to emerging markets of the continent. The project is also designed, to help stop rising water levels and flooding near the lying coastline of Lagos City.

Planning for the project began in 2003. In 2022 we see hotels, restaurants, and a developed network of transport routes built. The city is being planned as a new peninsular expansion to Victoria Island, as well as a new financial and business centre with high-end residential addresses and cutting-edge service infrastructure.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has said it will set up an international financial centre by the second quarter of 2022 to attract investors.
