Yung Wing

Yung Wing (1828-1912) was a diplomat who held citizenship in both the United States and the Qing dynasty. He was born in Nanping and later died in Hartford, Connecticut. During his lifetime, Yung Wing was educated at Yale University, one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the U.S., eventually leading to his career as a diplomat.
