Wes Archer (born Wesley Meyer Archer on November 26, 1961) is an American animator, screenwriter, animation director, and cartoonist. He was born and raised in the United States and holds American citizenship. Archer attended the California Institute of the Arts for his education.
Archer has directed numerous episodes of popular animated television series, including "The Simpsons" and "Bob's Burgers." Some of the episodes he directed for "The Simpsons" are "Homer's Odyssey," "Moaning Lisa," "The Call of the Simpsons," "The Crepes of Wrath," and "Treehouse of Horror". Additionally, he directed "Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch" and "The Why of Fry" episodes of "Futurama".
For "Bob's Burgers," Archer directed episodes like "Hamburger Dinner Theater," "Spaghetti Western and Meatballs," "Bob Day Afternoon," "Beefsquatch," "The Unnatural," "Two for Tina," "Nude Beach," and "Tina-Rannosaurus Wrecks". He also directed an episode of the animated show "Rick and Morty" titled "A Rickle in Time".
