The Dota 2 team of Team VGJ was created in September 2016 after an agreement among China Digital Culture (Group) Limited, Chinese professional e-sports club Vici Gaming and professional basketball player Jeremy Lin, who is endorsing the team. The team was named VGJ after the first letter in Jeremy's name.
In September 2017, the Chinese squad Team VGJ is rebranded VGJ.Thunder, and a new North American squad is added to VGJ family: VGJ.Storm.
On 27 September 2018, The organization re-branded to J.Storm due to the end of their partnership with Vici Gaming and to comply with the new team ownership rules introduced for the 2018/19 Dota Pro Circuit.
On 29 September 2018, VGJ.Thunder announce they have disbanded.
