Urs Fischer

Urs Fischer is a contemporary, abstract, and conceptual artist. His artworks have included sculptures, installations, paintings, photography, and more. Fischer lives in New York City, where his works are often on display in museums and exhibits. He was born in Zürich, Switzerland in 1973.

Fischer's artwork style is largely abstract, and often weaves real life themes and objects with absurd visual elements. His mediums include paintings, sculptures, and conceptual installation art.

Fischer has collaborated with designer brands, musical artists, and others, creating artworks and designs for them. In 2021, he collaborated with the fashion designer brand Louis Vuitton and created a whimsical sketch of their logo and classic floral design based on memory. The print was turned into a fashion collection. Fischer was the photographer for the cover and inside artwork of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs album It's Blitz!

Fischer's work has been displayed in places such as the Venice Biennale, the Centre Georges Pompidou, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, The Museum of Modern Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
