Turtle Beach is located in Hikkaduwa, a seaside resort town in southwest of Sri Lanka.
The Hikkaduwa turtles can usually be found swimming around directly in front of the Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon Hotel.
From the main part of Hikkaduwa Beach, simply head left (when facing the ocean) until you hit a rocky divide
Best Time To Visit
The best time to visit the West coast of Sri Lanka, is between December – March. These months should make sure you avoid the West coast monsoon seasons.
However, the Hikkaduwa turtles can be found at Turtle Beach all year round.
For the best time to head to Turtle Beach, we would recommend visiting as close to sunrise as possible.
The earlier in the morning you visit, the less tourists you’ll find. Therefore you’ll likely have the best experience, as the turtles swim around you without the crowds.
