Tom Kettle

Tom Kettle (born 9 February 1880, County Dublin, died 9 September 1916, Battle of the Somme) was a man of many occupations, including economist, politician, journalist, poet, and barrister. His father was Andrew Kettle.

Kettle was educated at several institutions: O'Connell School, Clongowes Wood College, and finally, University College Dublin.

His life was tragically cut short during the Battle of the Somme on September 9, 1916.
