Theo Angelopoulos

Theo Angelopoulos (April 27, 1935 – January 24, 2012) was a Greek film director, screenwriter, film producer, actor, and journalist. Born in Athens, Greece, Angelopoulos studied at the University of Paris, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Institut des hautes études cinématographiques, and the Faculté des lettres de Paris.

During his career, Angelopoulos directed several films, including "Reconstruction" and "Landscape in the Mist," which is also considered one of his most notable works. He passed away in Piraeus, Greece, on January 24, 2012.
