Swoosh was painted for only $35
The Nike logo was designed by Carolyn Davidson, a student at the Faculty of Graphic Design at Portland State University. In 1971, Phil Knight urgently needed a logo, so he rushed to Davidson and asked her to make a recognizable and simple drawing that would be associated with the goddess of victory Nica.
Swoosh logo has been red for a long time
For a very long time, Nike used a red and white color palette on its logo. The reason for such a color scheme was that the red color symbolized energy, passion and joy, and white expressed the nobility and purity of the brand. Later, the company changed the color scheme to make it current and stylish.
