Stoichiometry is a section of chemistry that involves relationships between reactants and/or products in chemical reactions and quantitative data about those relationships. In Greek, stoikhein means element and metron means measure. Stoichiometry concerns balancing of chemical reactions that are written as an equation using chemical symbols. A chemical equation displays the ingredients or terms of a chemical reaction and includes elements, molecules or ions in the reactants and the products.
