Stephen Chow

Stephen Chow, born Stephen Chiau Sing-chi on June 22, 1962 in Hong Kong, is a Chinese person. Chow is a film director, actor, film producer, screenwriter, and comedian, known professionally in the Hong Kong entertainment industry. He is associated with the genre of Mo lei tau comedy and has pseudonyms such as 幇主 and 星爺.

Chow directed and created the films CJ7 and Kung Fu Hustle. He has served as a member of the board of directors for Kung Fu Hustle. His father is Chau Yik-sheung, mother Ling Po-yee, and siblings are Chau Man-kei and Chau Sing-ha. Chow has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Golden Bauhinia Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival, Hong Kong Film Awards, and Golden Horse Awards. Stephen Chow resides in Hong Kong, China.
