The company oversees several levels of the industry including acquisition, development, leasing, property management, construction, architectural design, landscape architecture, and marketing. Currently, the company is in nine states with a portfolio including mixed used retail centers, strip centers, office buildings, luxury residential, and student housing.

Stark Enterprises was founded in 1978 by Robert L Stark, who developed his first single-story commercial property in Mayfield Heights, Ohio while completing his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University.
