University of Michigan Social Venture Fund is a student-led impact venture capital fund being invested in companies with positive social and environmental impact. Established in 2009, it is the first student-run social venture fund. It focuses on companies in several sectors including education, environment, finance, food and nutrition, health and urban revitalization . It made its first investment in 2011 and aims to invest up to $200,000 in capital. As of January 2020, it has made six investments with one successful exit.
