Sigrid Undset

Sigrid Undset was a Norwegian novelist, writer, screenwriter, and poet who was born on May 20, 1882 in Kalundborg, Denmark . She is best known for her notable work, "Kristin Lavransdatter" , for which she received the 1928 Nobel Prize in Literature .

Undset's achievements in literature were widely recognized, thanks in part to "Kristin Lavransdatter" . She held Norwegian citizenship and spent a considerable part of her life in Norway, while also having strong ties to Denmark .
