Samir Bannout is a former professional bodybuilder from Lebanon who was born in Beirut on November 7, 1955 . He is also known by his nickname, the Lion of Lebanon . Bannout currently resides in Los Angeles .
Throughout his career, Bannout received multiple awards , including a first-place victory in the 1983 Mr. Olympia competition . He also won the 1990 Pittsburgh Pro Invitational and the 1985 WABBA World Championship . In 1979, Bannout was recognized as the Best in the World, Amateur, and claimed victory in the World Amateur Championships, Light Heavyweight category .
Bannout has been married to his spouse, Randa , and they have two children, a son named Sergio , and a daughter named Jesse . As an athlete, his occupation was primarily within the field of bodybuilding , representing his country, Lebanon .
