Romanos II

Romanos II (born January 1, 938) was the Emperor of the Byzantine Empire. He was the son of Constantine VII and Helena Lekapene, and he held the country's citizenship. Romanos II was born and died in Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, with his date of death being March 15, 963.

Romanos II was father to three children: Basil II, Constantine VIII, and Anna Porphyrogenita. He was married to Theophano, a Byzantine noblewoman from the 10th century.
