Rodney Robert Porter

Rodney Robert Porter was a British biochemist, chemist, and physician born on October 8, 1917, in Lancashire . He held citizenship in the United Kingdom . Porter completed his education at the University of Liverpool and the University of Cambridge . He was under the guidance of his doctoral advisor Frederick Sanger .

Porter's work in the fields of biochemistry, chemistry, and medicine led him to receive the 1972 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine . He passed away on September 6, 1985, in Winchester .
