Overview

RoboGPT is an open-source extensible program that helps users run the GPT-4 model autonomously. RoboGPT was created by Rok Strniša on April 4, 2023, as a variant of the AutoGPT AI assistant. Strniša released a demo of RoboGPT where the program searches the web, returning information related to top digital nomad destinations, and consolidating the information into a CSV file. Strniša is an entrepreneur who founded 42nd Universe, a UK-based software company, and was previously the principal engineer at Improbable, a company developing technology for the metaverse.

RoboGPT was inspired by AutoGPT and previous work by Strniša, using ChatGPT to write programs. In a blog published on April 5, 2023, Strniša stated he was working to improve RoboGPT, utilizing ideas for an AI operating system architecture.
