Robert Nobel (4 August 1829 - 7 August 1896) was a Swedish chemist, engineer, economist, businessperson, investor, and entrepreneur . He was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and held Swedish citizenship.
Robert Nobel was a child of Immanuel Nobel, himself a notable inventor. In addition to his successful career, Robert Nobel was also the founder of Branobel, a prominent oil company, as well as The Petroleum Production Company Nobel Brothers. One of his children was Ludvig Nobel, a significant figure in the oil industry. Robert Nobel passed away on 7 August 1896.
