In 2024, Colombians Santiago Gómez Osorio and Carlos Alarcón, along with Argentinians Julia Insua and Ignacio Barrea, founded Quix, a Colombo-Argentine startup dedicated to personalized corporate training using artificial intelligence (AI). The company transforms internal organizational content into interactive training programs, integrating with platforms such as WhatsApp, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, and offering a virtual tutor available 24 hours a day.
Quix recently closed a pre-seed investment round of $350,000, reaching a valuation of $3 million. This investment was supported by the funds MrPink VC from Argentina and Venture Do from the Dominican Republic.
With the funds raised, Quix plans to expand its presence in large Latin American corporations, strengthen its engineering team, and expand its support in key sectors. The startup seeks to consolidate itself as a reference in business training with AI, offering innovative solutions to improve the productivity of companies.
"The challenge is not only in creating the best technology but in ensuring its massive adoption within companies to generate a real impact on productivity," said Santiago Gómez, CRO of Quix.
The participation of MrPink VC and Venture Do in this investment round is significant, as both funds recognize Quix’s potential to transform regional corporate training. Jorge Vargas, of Venture Do, pointed out that in a context where many companies incorporate 'AI' into their presentations, Quix really uses it to solve a critical challenge, refining its technology and applying it with a vision for the future.
Quix’s approach focuses on offering customized training programs that take place in less than 48 hours, using internal materials such as documents, videos, and presentations. The platform integrates AI agents into popular communication tools, providing a virtual tutor who oversees learning through simulations and hands-on exercises. The objective is to facilitate the adoption of advanced technology in enterprises to generate a real impact on productivity.
«In a context where many companies incorporate 'AI' into their presentations, Quix really uses it to solve a critical challenge, refining its technology and applying it with a vision for the future,» commented Jorge Vargas of Venture Do.
The support of these investors not only brings capital but also credibility and confidence in Quix’s business model. This investment will allow the company to accelerate its growth, improve its technological platform, and expand its reach in the Latin American market, positioning itself as a key player in the digital transformation of corporate training.
