Philip Galle

Philip Galle (1537-1612) was a Dutch painter, publisher, and artist born in Haarlem, Netherlands. Throughout his life, Philip held various occupations including painting, publishing, and working as an artist. He was the father of Cornelis Galle the Elder, who also became an artist. Philip Galle passed away on March 12, 1612, in Antwerp. Throughout his lifetime, Philip Galle held citizenship in the Netherlands.
