Peter Higgs

Peter Higgs , born on May 29, 1929, is a physicist from the United Kingdom. He was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and is also known by his full name Peter Ware Higgs. Higgs studied at King's College London and was under the guidance of doctoral advisor Christopher Longuet-Higgins.

Throughout his academic career, Higgs has mentored several doctoral students, including David Wallace (physicist), Christopher Bishop, John Golden, and Lewis Ryder. He has been recognized for his work in the field of physics, particularly for his groundbreaking contributions to the understanding of particle physics, by winning the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics.
