Paul Kane

Paul Kane (1810-1871) was a Canadian writer, known primarily for his occupation as a writer. He was born on September 3, 1810, in Mallow, County Cork. Kane was self-educated, having pursued autodidacticism as his form of education.

Throughout his career, Kane held Canadian citizenship. He eventually passed away in Toronto, on February 20, 1871. As a documented person in history, Paul Kane's life and career remain as an example of a self-educated writer from the 19th century.
