Orhan Pamuk

Orhan Pamuk was born in Istanbul on June 7, 1952. He is a Turkish writer who is also known as a novelist, screenwriter, and journalist. As a Turkish citizen, he founded The Museum of Innocence (museum) in his home country, Turkey.

Pamuk's education includes studying at Istanbul Technical University and Robert College. He has worked in various literary genres such as autobiography, essay, and novel.

Some of his notable works include "The Black Book" (Pamuk novel), "My Name Is Red", "Snow" (Pamuk novel), "The White Castle", "Istanbul: Memories and the City", and "The Museum of Innocence".

Orhan Pamuk was awarded the 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature.
