Oliver Bierhoff, born on May 1, 1968, in Karlsruhe, is a German footballer known for being a striker. Bierhoff is a citizen of Germany and has national allegiances to Germany.
Throughout his career, Bierhoff received several awards and distinctions. Notably, he was named Footballer of the Year in Germany. Additionally, Bierhoff won the 1998–99 A.C. Milan season, becoming European Champion in 1996, and Vice World Champion in 2002 with the Germany national team. He was also the top scorer in the Italian Serie A in 1998, the top scorer in the Italian Serie B in 1993, and was inducted into the AC Milan Hall of Fame. Bierhoff has also been referred to by nicknames like "Ollie" and "Albatross".
Oliver Bierhoff is employed by Deutsche Fußball-Bund e. V.. He previously worked as a football player and now is an association football manager. Bierhoff completed his education at the University of Hagen.
