Oleg Novikov

In 1993 he graduated from the Faculty of Aircraft Engines of the Moscow Aviation Institute. Back in 1991, while studying in the third year, he began selling books. Together with Andrei Gredasov, he opened a company that sold Moscow books in the regions. In 1993, they organized the Eksmo publishing house, which soon managed to break out into the leaders of the book market. In 2012, the Eksmo and AST publishing houses merged into the Eksmo-AST Publishing Group. In 2014, the structure of the Eksmo-AST Publishing Group included the educational publishing houses Drofa and Ventana-Graf, which in 2015 merged into their own publishing group, which in 2017 was named the Russian Textbook Corporation. In 2018, the Corporation was sold, Rustitaninvest became the new owner.

Eksmo Publishing House acquired the rights to publish books by such authors as Zakhar Prilepin, Dmitry Glukhovsky, Evgeny Vodolazkin, Boris Akunin, Daria Dontsova, Tatiana Ustinova, Vladimir Pozner, Victor Pelevin, Paulo Coelho, Haruki Murakami, Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk, George R. R. Martin, Umberto Eco, Ray Bradbury and others.
