Octavio Paz

Octavio Paz (1914-1998) was a multifaceted individual from Mexico, with Spanish citizenship as well. Born and raised in Mexico City, Paz would go on to be a renowned poet, lyricist, diplomat, philosopher, writer, and politician throughout his life.

Paz received his education from various institutions, including the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Colegio Williams, and the University of California, Berkeley. He was known for his work in the genre of poetry.

In recognition of his literary contributions, Octavio Paz was awarded the 1990 Nobel Prize in Literature. He passed away in Mexico City in 1998.
