Mo Yan

Mo Yan , a prominent Chinese writer, was born on February 17, 1955, in Gaomi, China. Mo Yan, which translates to "don't speak," is a pseudonym . He holds multiple occupations as a writer, novelist, teacher, and screenwriter.

Mo Yan received his education from prestigious institutions like the People's Liberation Army Academy of Art and Beijing Normal University. Known for his notable works including "The Republic of Wine", "Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out", and the widely acclaimed "Red Sorghum", he has established himself as a reputable author.

In 2012, Mo Yan was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. He is currently based in China.
