Michael Schroeder

Michael Schroeder, born in Richland, Washington on January 1, 1945, is a computer scientist and film director. He holds a United States nationality and citizenship. Schroeder was educated at Washington State University and later at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). During his time at MIT, Jerry Saltzer served as his doctoral advisor.

As a computer scientist, Michael Schroeder is best known for his work on the Needham–Schroeder protocol, which is a notable computer security protocol.
