Meshuggah

Meshúggah is a Swedish math-metal band and the founder of the genre. Formed in 1987 in the city of Umeå

The group gained attention after the release of their second studio album Destroy Erase Improve, which combines groove metal and noticeable metal. From the 2002 album, Nothing, the musicians began to use seven-string and eight-string guitars. Meshugga came about through a consciously innovative musical style characterized by intricate song structures and polyrhythms. Meshuggah was named one of Rolling Stone's Top 10 Metal Bands and Alternative Press' Most Influential Metal Bands. Although Meshuggah has not achieved significant commercial success, they are an extreme dynamic phenomenon.
