Martin Evans

Martin Evans (born Martin John Evans) is a geneticist and biologist from the United Kingdom. Born on January 1, 1941, in Stroud, Evans has made significant contributions to the field of Genetics.

Evans received his education at multiple institutions including St Dunstan's College, Christ's College, Cambridge, and University College London (UCL). During his doctoral studies, he was advised by Jacques Monod. Evans has also served as a mentor to Allan Bradley during Bradley's doctoral research.

Acknowledged for his vital work in the field, Martin Evans was awarded the 2007 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. As a prominent figure, he continues to reside in the United Kingdom.
