Marjane Satrapi is an accomplished Iranian-French artist and filmmaker born on November 22, 1969, in Rasht, Iran. She holds citizenship in both Iran and France. Marjane has pursued various creative professions, including screenwriting, illustrating, writing, animating, directing, novel writing, comics artistry, and songwriting.
She attended the Lycée Français de Vienne, Islamic Azad University South Tehran Branch, and the Islamic Azad University Central Tehran Branch. Marjane Satrapi is her professional pseudonym as well as her given name.
Satrapi is best known for her notable works: "Persepolis" and "Chicken with Plums". In addition to her work as an author, she directed the movie "The Voices". Marjane Satrapi is considered an influential figure in literature, animation, and filmmaking.
