Marcel Desailly, born in Accra on September 7, 1968, is a French footballer. Desailly is well-known for playing as a defender and defensive midfielder. During his career, he has won numerous awards and titles with his club and national teams.

While playing at "Marseilles," Desailly was the Division 1 Champion of 1992/93, which was later stripped of its title, and a UEFA Champions League Winner in 1993. While at "Milan," he won the Serie A Championship twice, in 1993/94 and 1995/96, and became a UEFA Champions League Winner, UEFA Super Cup Winner in 1994.

Desailly had success at Chelsea as well, winning the FA Cup and FA Super Cup in 2000, and the UEFA Super Cup in 1998. Furthermore, Desailly contributed to the victory of "Al-Gharrafa" as the 2004/05 Qatar Champion.

With the France national team, he earned the title of World Champion in 1998, European Champion in 2000, and was a Confederations Cup winner twice in 2001 and 2003. Desailly was also included in the symbolic team of the European Championship twice, in 1996 and 2000, and a member of the symbolic team of the 1998 World Cup.
