Lizave

Lizave is a Ukrainian artist and designer who’s expressing herself through painting, color experiments, and digital art.

The way she plays with color is especially captivating. In her works, Lizave creates visual contradictions that somehow, quite counter-intuitively, evoke the feeling of harmony and balance.

All works of the artist aim for the simplicity of shapes, and you can easily trace the influence of graphics. Lizave adores working with forms, cutting off the unnecessary and distilling it down to the very essence without which the object cannot exist.

Lizave relies on the emotion that prevails in her when she starts working on a new piece and that single emotion becomes the backbone of the entire work. It all comes down to the passion that accompanies her while she’s working.

Oftentimes, Lizave finds it challenging to explain what guides her, and this is what provokes the feeling of euphoria. Unlike most of the artists who aim to achieve a specific result, Lizave chooses to follow the unknown, and her audacity definitely pays off.

By relying on intuition, Lizave explains, she allows her subconscious to take over. She never really knows where it’s going to get her. This approach fosters the process of self-discovery, so with every work produced, she gets to know herself better.
