Licinius was an Ancient Roman politician born in 265 in Moesia. He held citizenship in Ancient Rome and is considered an important historical figure, being one of the co-authors of the Edict of Milan. The Edict of Milan was a decree issued by Licinius and the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great in 313 AD, establishing religious tolerance within the Roman Empire.
Licinius was married to Flavia Julia Constantia and together they had a child named Licinius II. Licinius II followed his father's footsteps, becoming a significant figure in the ancient world.
Licinius passed away in 325 in Thessalonica (theme). His contributions to Roman history, in particular the Edict of Milan, are still recognized today.
