Lafcadio Hearn

Lafcadio Hearn, born as Patrick Lafcadio Hearn on June 27, 1850, in Lefkada, Greece, was a multi-disciplined writer, with a diverse range of occupations including novelist, screenwriter, professor, poet, and journalist. He was educated at Ushaw College and held citizenship in Greece, the Republic of Ireland, and Japan.

Hearn went by the pseudonym Koizumi Yakumo and spent his later years living in Japan, where he passed away on September 26, 1904, in Tokyo. As a person with a multicultural background, Lafcadio Hearn contributed significantly to literature through his diverse range of works.
