Cole Mitchell Sprouse was born on August 4, 1992 in Arezzo (Italy) 15 minutes later than his twin brother Dylan. The artist's father and mother are Americans Matthew and Melanie, who taught English in Tuscany. The name of the child was in honor of the jazz artist Nat King Cole.

The artistic biography of Cole and Dylan began thanks to his maternal grandmother. Actress and drama educator Jonin Booth Wright gave the twins' parents the idea to get their grandchildren into show business from an early age.
