Kirill Meretskov

Kirill Meretskov (7 June 1897 - 30 December 1968) was a person born in Zaraysk and died in Moscow. He was an officer in the armed forces and a politician. Meretskov held citizenship in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union.

Over his career, Meretskov received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Order of the Red Banner, Order of the October Revolution, Medal "For the Defence of Leningrad", Order of Victory, and Hero of the Soviet Union. Some of his other recognitions were the Jubilee Medal "Twenty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945" and the Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945".

Meretskov was also awarded with the Medal "For the Defence of the Soviet Transarctic", Jubilee Medal "30 Years of the Soviet Army and Navy", and Order of St. Olav. Additionally, he was a recipient of the Legion of Merit, Order of the Cloud and Banner, and Order of the National Flag.
