Katallassos is a standard framework for originating and issuing codified financial instruments and financial contracts such as futures, loans, bonds, exchanges, and any combinations thereof. The framework was built by Trinkler Software, a Swiss software company that is also developing Image Wallet and Agora Trade.
Katalassos combines features of both decentralized and centralized financial services to provide:
- Non-custodial money management;
- Trustless contract settlement through on-chain oracles (e.g. ChainLink) with no third-parties;
- Sub-second blocktimes for a seamless user experience;
- Convenience of managing all financial services from one account; and
- Interoperability with different blockchains and banks for connecting cryptocurrency and legacy financial systems.
Trinkler Software's collaborators on the Katallassos project include Polkadot, Chainlink, Swiss Crypto Tokens, and Nimiq.
Katallassos is developed on top of ACTUS (Algorithmic Contract Types Unified Standards), a standard which was created in order to break down the diversity of financial instruments into a manageable number of cash flow patterns.
