Amour-Auguste-Louis-Joseph Berthelot, Baron de Baye (French Joseph de Baye; January 31, 1853 , Paris - June 3, 1931 , Paris) - French archaeologist and traveler, member of the French Geographical Society , an honorary member of the Ural Society of Natural Science Lovers, as well as a member of the Special Committee for the Arrangement of the Museum of 1812 in Moscow. He visited Russia many times and even called himself "half-French - half-Russian."

Thanks to Baron Joseph de Bay, Afontova Gora has become a world-famous archaeological site.
