Jorma Kaukonen (born Jorma Ludwik Kaukonen, Jr. on December 23, 1940) is an American guitarist, singer-songwriter, and musician. He was born in Washington, D.C. and holds United States citizenship. Kaukonen is known for his work in various genres, including rock music, psychedelic rock, blues, and folk.
Kaukonen attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, D.C.. Later, he studied at Santa Clara University, Antioch College, and Antioch University. He is sometimes referred to by his short name, Jorma.
Kaukonen's work has been featured in various film and television projects, such as Перевага (2014), The Rookie (2002), and Дивні дива (2016). He has been married to his wife, Vanessa, since December 7, 1988, and was previously married to Margaretan Pettersson.
