Jonathan Dwight Jones

Early Years Jonathan Jones was born on July 19, 1987 in Rochester, New York, USA. He grew up in Endicott, New York. He played American soccer, like his brothers Arthur and Chandler, and freestyle wrestling. While in high school, Jones was a champion wrestler. At Central Iowa State College, he won the championship title. He soon dropped out of the college where he studied law to begin his career in mixed martial arts.

Career Jones made his professional MMA debut in April 2008. He had 6 wins within three months without a single loss. Every fight Jones finished before the end of the fight, thanks to this, the fighter turned his attention to the UFC organization. In his last fight, before signing with the UFC, Jones defeated Moses Gabin in the BCX 5 bantamweight division. He won the fight by TKO in the second round and won the USKBA title.
