John Vane

John Vane was a British biochemist born on March 29, 1927, in Tardebigge . He held citizenship in the United Kingdom . Vane completed his education at the University of Birmingham , St Catherine's College, Oxford , and King Edward's School, Birmingham . His doctoral advisor was Geoffrey S. Dawes , while Salvador Moncada was one of his doctoral students.

Vane received the 1982 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work in biochemistry . He passed away on November 19, 2004, in the London Borough of Bromley .
