John Murray Forbes (born February 23, 1813, in Bordeaux; died October 12, 1898, in Milton, Massachusetts) was a United States citizen and a merchant by occupation. Forbes founded J.M. Forbes & Co. and was educated at Phillips Academy. He was the father of John Malcolm Forbes.
