Joe has had a passion for singing and performing on stage at a very young age and at the same time also wanted to become an actor. Was blessed with a choir type voice in his early childhood but in his adult years he developed a baritone to tenor 3 octave range.
He was discovered as an actor by now close friend, actor, Sal Darigo who first met Joe on the local NJ radio show, Patti Lattanzi & The Gang Show on Cruisin' 92.1 FM, Vineland. Sal felt Joe would also make a great actor and helped him all he could in pursuing his acting career.
Joe always had a great speaking voice, noticable on screen and television which helped him pursue voice-overs and commercials.
Joe has two grown children, Joseph Michael Polito and Dinamarie, and 4 grandchildren, Ashley, Nicole, Maurita, Jon-Jon and great grandchild, Marina!
Trivia
Joe Polito went to the same high school as actor, Jon Polito, both grew up in Southwest Philly, at one time his father lived on the same street as Jon's father, but they are not related.
