Jade Lai is a California-based businessperson and investor. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Western Ontario. She has acted as a principal and senior associate and has co-founded a non-profit organization, the Wasichana Fund. She joined Andreessen Horowitz in 2019 and works on the enterprise investment team.
She is focused on data and ML infrastructure, enterprise workflow automation, novel ML/AI applications, and API businesses.
Prior to Andreessen Horowitz, she was an investor and first hire at Playground Global, an early stage venture fund and engineering studio focused on investing in deep tech and enterprise software investments. She helped build out the investment practice from sourcing, diligence, and deal execution to portfolio management and led investments in Relativity Space, Virta Health, RapidSOS, Nervana Systems (acquired by Intel), and more.
